About La Conekta

La Conekta” Spanish for ‘the connect’ is a Latin Hip Hop music movement that began in 2008 in New York City with the production of a series of events and networking opportunities that have expanded to other cities such as the DMV, Boston, Miami, Toronto and as far as Medellin, Colombia.

With Hip-Hop/Rap being predominately heard in english on radio stations and in the clubs. Most Hip Hop showcases/events do not cater to the MC that rhymes in Spanish or Spanglish. La Conekta is able to unite these MC's and have them featured along side with emerging, independent, underground and signed Hip Hop artists that rap in english and gives them much a needed platform to bring their brand of Hip Hop to their fans and network with artists, producers, photographers, studios, and more.

There is no doubt that the Latino/Hispanic population continues to grow in the United States and Hip-Hop being one of the most popular cultures around the world and very strong in Latin America. The audience and the artists continue to increase with each event. The demand for Hip Hop in Spanish continues to grow and become more popular. Our live shows and events spotlight a wide range of Latino Hip Hop artists with backgrounds from the United States & Puerto Rico, Spain, Mexico, Colombia, El Salvador, Peru, Argentina, Ecuador, Dominican Republic and Chile just to name a few. The diverse lineups have been a bridge for our Hispanic audiences and Hip Hop fans alike and energy like no other.
